For the fortieth anniversary of our beloved Golf GTI, LEGO decided to join the celebration with their fans, paying an homage with a gray model composed of 1278 pieces.
Careful attention is given to the features of our favorite car, it includes: a steering wheel with the GTI legend, emblems on the rear hatch, bases of the shock absorbers under the chest, a grill with a red frame, round headlights, the handbrake and the Gearbox lever inspired by the design of the original 1976 model.
This creation has reached Lego Ideas, a portal specialized in developing projects with these pieces. It takes 10,000 followers to move to the next level, which evaluates and approves or not, the production of this model.
